Dr. Matthew Christman, the research leader, found that porn had only a trivial effect on female viewers' sex lives, while men who spent a lot of time on sites like PornHub disovered that the habit effected their psychosexual health, which proved damaging to their romantic relationships.

Of the 312 male patients surveyed, roughly 20 per cent reported using porn three to five times a week. Nearly 4 per cent of men said they preferred masturbating to pornography over having sex.
