We've got some piping-hot celebrity beef, friends. According to TMZ, Kanye West has decided to walk away from Jay-Z's online streaming service, Tidal. This beef has been simmering for quite some time, unidentified sources whispered to TMZ, and like any deep-bore relationship, the cause of the tension and unhappiness is apparently financial.

Kanye was supposed to be gifted a very nice bonus after his album, The Life of Pablo, debuted on Tidal and brought in 1.5 million new subscribers. Evidently, that large check and other promised fees totaling $3 million never arrived. Kanye's attorneys jumped into the fray, blasting out a series of sternly-worded letters, the last of which was delivered two weeks ago and stated that Kanye's contract with Tidal was null and void.

TMZ also got the skinny on a few other unresolved issues: videos that were either not paid for following delivery or were never created at all, threats to jump to another streaming service by Kanye, and potential legal action by both parties.

But rather than tying to suss out whose side of the story is more credible, let's instead enjoy some lyrics from the song, "Kill Jay-Z," which was released by Jay-Z after all this messiness began.

Via TMZ:

I know people backstab you, I feel bad too / But this f*** everybody attitude ain't natural / But you ain't the same, this ain't KumbaYe / But you got hurt because you did cool by 'Ye / You gave him 20 million without thinkin' / He gave you 20 minutes on stage, f*** was he thinkin'? / 'F*** wrong with everybody?' is what you sayin' / But if everybody's crazy, you're the one that's insane

Damn.
