The Crown showrunner Peter Morgan is known for taking liberties with the truth, but transforming Prince Charles into a hunky powerlifter might be his most ambitious retcon yet.

Which is to say, we finally have our first peek at Dominic West in his upcoming role as the Prince of Wales in season five, which the British actor takes over from Josh O'Connor. There he is, testing the seams of his bespoke double-breasted suit, looking like a Saville Row superhero with the world on his shoulders. Trouble with the tabloids, or has Thanos reared his ugly head again? We'll have to wait and see.

From a style perspective, the Nineties (where season five will pick up) was a time in which Charles's unwavering devotion to his tried-and-tested wardrobe put him at odds with prevailing trends. He arguably won out in the end, though. "He kept wearing double-breasted suits when everyone else had switched to single," says Jeremy Hackett, of the outfitters Hackett, in our celebration of the royal's style legacy. "It was a brave, if unconscious, move but one that paid off because now he's made that double-breasted style his own."

We've also finally got our first look at Tenet star Elizabeth Debicki in her role as Princess Diana, taking over the role from Emma Corrin.
