The bromance of Ryan Reynolds and current Esquire cover star Jake Gyllenhaal is well documented.
Back in January, Jake said Ryan was snubbed at the Oscars for his "brilliant" performance in Deadpool because of the Academy's disdain for superhero films. And Ryan recently said that Jake is an even better cook than love-of-his-life Blake Lively.
Now that the two are starring in a movie together called Life–a sci-fi thriller in which four astronauts go to Mars in search of living beings–their friendship is front and center on the promotion trail, such as during this recent interview with Fox 5's entertainment reporter, Kevin McCarthy, at SXSW.
