A new action-packed trailer for the Tomb Raider reboot has been released, featuring Academy Award winner Alicia Vikander's debut as Lara Croft.
The story will follow the 2013 video game where Lara is a young woman working an ordinary day job in London.
A clue causes her to embark on a search for her archaeologist father (Dominic West - being extra plummy), who she thought was dead.
The Square Enix adaptation will also star Justified's and The Shield's Walton Goggins as the nefarious Father Mathias Vogel, while Into the Badlands' Daniel Wu will stand by Lara's side in her search for her father.
Alicia Vikander recently differentiated her incarnation of the character from Angelina Jolie's famed version by clarifying that the Lara we'll meet next year hasn't quite mastered her survival skills quite yet.
"She has all the fierce, tough, curious, intelligent traits," Alicia told Entertainment Weekly. "But we've stripped away all of her experience. She hasn't gone on an adventure just yet."
Come 16 March, she will.
