Blade Runner 2049 is the best script Harrison Ford has ever read, according to Ridley Scott.
The director of the original film, who is executive producing the sequel, said: "I sent Harrison Ford the script and he said 'this is the best script I've ever read'."
Harrison added: "What was always wanting, was a story that flowed naturally out of the first."
We don't know why Harrison is so keen on this latest script of all the scripts he's read in his career, but it might have everything to do with the theory he's just coming back to be killed off.
Both Ridley and Harrison were speaking during a behind-the-scenes featurette promoting the new film, so it seems odd that Harrison wouldn't just say it himself in the video, eh?
The movie sees Ryan Gosling's Officer K as a blade runner going in search of Harrison's Rick Deckard, who has been missing for 30 years.
Officer K has unearthed a secret that threatens to plunge the futuristic society into chaos and somehow Harrison's grizzled former blade runner is the key to solving it.
The original film went through numerous re-edits, with the final and canon ending hinting that Deckard was actually a replicant himself.
In other Blade Runner news, Jared Leto practically blinded himself to play his role of Niander Wallace in the film, while director Denis Villeneuve revealed they originally wanted David Bowie to play that role, and he also revealed that he's prepared himself for failure.
The franchise is also rolling out prequels spanning the time between the first movie and the second, including an anime short film called Blade Runner Black Out 2022.
Denis has collaborated with three artists to create three short films set between the events of 2019 and 2049, filling out a huge chunk of backstory.
He also dropped 2036: Nexus Dawn, starring Jared's villain Niander, last month.
