As series four of the thrilling Peaky Blinders heads toward its endgame, the penultimate episode saw the continuation of the Changretta vendetta.

Things got off to a flying start with the opening scene, in which Tommy (Cillian Murphy) literally brought out the big guns to take on Adrien Brody's murderous mafioso.

However, after weeks of being at each other's throats, it turned our that Helen McCrory's Aunt Polly had been conning Changretta with their secret deal all along.

Talking about pulling a blinder!

But the surprises didn't end there, Lizzie (Natasha O'Keeffe) revealed she was with child, and yes, it was obviously Tommy's.

A slowly-recovering Michael joined up with Aberama Gold's gypsies and went into hiding away from Changretta's hit list.

As well as the smell of blood in the air, there looked to be romance in the cards between Mr. Gold and Polly. The Game of Thrones puns came thick and fast.

It may have been an all-star series of the show, but some were less than convinced by Brody's Italian accent.

Speaking of stars, following the long-awaited return of Tom Hardy in last week's episode, Alfie Solomons was back on full form and as explosive as ever.

A downtrodden Changretta now looks to have formed a deadly alliance heading into the final episode, as his last hope.

Peaky Blinders concludes its fourth series next Wednesday (20 December) at 9pm on BBC Two.
