Warning: The following article contains spoilers about the final season of Game of Thrones.

Former Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa is definitely still hugely passionate about the show, but that doesn't mean one big fan theory about the final season is coming true.

Momoa starred in the Primetime Emmy Award-winning fantasy series' early years as Daenerys Targaryen's (Emilia Clarke) husband Khal Drogo, before being brutally killed off like so many of fans' favourites characters.

Yet, Momoa has recently been spending a lot of time on set, reuniting with his former Khaleesi and meeting cast members like Kristofer Hivju (aka Tormund) for the first time.

All of this has got some fans questioning if Momoa has also filmed some kind of cameo for the final season. Unfortunately this particular theory seems like nothing more than wishful thinking.

"I just showed up to see [the producers] and I just happened to see people on set," Momoa explained to Entertainment Weekly. "I haven't been over there in a long time. You just want to see your friends and you end up making headlines going, 'Drogo's back!' and I'm like, 'He's dead! He can't come back, it wouldn't work.'"

While it's unlikely Khal Drogo will be turning up in Westeros before the end, Momoa is assuring fans that their minds will be blown by the final Game of Thrones episodes.

"It's going to be the greatest thing that's ever aired on TV," he promised. "It's going to be unbelievable. It's going to f**k up a lot of people.

"And it was a bummer because I'm a huge fan and I didn't want to know what's going on. I was like, 'Damn, I didn't want to know that!'"

We'll be waiting quite a while to have our world rocked because Game of Thrones isn't expected to begin airing its final season on HBO in the US and Sky Atlantic in the UK until 2019.
