Larry David only just finished annoying the world with a revival for Curb Your Enthusiasm, but he isn't quite done needling Jeff, Susie and all the rest just yet.

HBO officially commissioned a tenth season of the Emmy Award-winning improvisational comedy series on Thursday (December 14), with production currently scheduled to begin early next year.

"As I've said many times, when one has the opportunity to annoy someone, one should do so," Larry David joked today.

HBO boss Casey Bloys also said: "We are thrilled that Larry will be back with his uniquely acerbic wit and comedic sensibility."

The ninth season premiere in October brought Curb Your Enthusiasm back to screens for the first time in six years, and reunited Larry David with long-time co-stars Susie Essman, Jeff Garlin, Cheryl Hines and JB Smoove.

Critical reviews were mostly positive for the season-long storyline of a fatwa being called on Larry for his controversial musical. Among the A-list guest stars this year were Lauren Graham, Elizabeth Banks, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Bryan Cranston as Larry's analyst.
