By Further evidence that Trump has way too much time on his hands and is permanently glued to his television comes today in the news of his recommending a film to Theresa May.
According to an exclusive report from the Telegraph, Donald Trump told May that she could become the next Winston Churchill after having watched Gary Oldman's Oscar-nominated Darkest Hour. Is it a bit worrying to think Trump thinks we need a war-ready Prime Minister in charge?
Trump recommended the film on a call that took place on 19 December. He then told May, "You could be this generation's Churchill," and then according to a source.
As perhaps our country's most infamous statesman and revered Prime Minister, Winston Churchill would likely be turning in his grave at a comparison with the current hanging-on-by-a-thread government.
Trump also also previously compared May to Thatcher saying, "You could be my Maggie."
Though tbh, with Trump you can't be entirely sure he wasn't referencing The Simpsons.
