Gal Gadot has shown the dignity we're accustomed to in her reaction to the Oscars snubbing her smash hit movie Wonder Woman.

The superhero epic was predicted to be a potential breakthrough into the Academy Awards race for DC Films, considering it's a rare film that made nearly a billion dollars worldwide amid rave reviews from critics and fans.

However, when Oscar nominations were announced on Tuesday, Gadot, her director Patty Jenkins and the film itself were ignored by Academy voters in every major category.

Instead, it was X-Men spin-off Logan that achieved the superhero breakthrough when its writers Scott Frank, James Mangold and Michael Green received a Best Adapted Screenplay Oscar nomination.

The snub was put directly to Gal Gadot in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight… and she seems surprisingly chill about the whole thing.

"I was very moved and touched by the feedback of all the people that were disappointed that Wonder Woman wasn't nominated," she beamed. "But we certainly never did the movie for [the accolades].

"I think that you can't have it all. We've done this movie, it was received in such an amazing, wonderful way and we want to stay humble, and we're going to have another movie. So, who knows? Maybe the next one!"

Speaking of Wonder Woman 2, Gal Gadot and Patty Jenkins are soon going to be making movie history whether the Academy recognises them or not.
