Jennifer Lawrence is reportedly working on a TV show all about the Time's Up and #MeToo movements.

The actress apparently let slip the news on Friday while on the Red Sparrow press tour.

"I'm going to be EPing [executive producing] a show with Catt Sadler," Entertainment Weekly quotes her as saying.

"I wasn't supposed to announce that but I am," she apparently added to the The Hollywood Reporter, who managed to get further details from their sources.

Stephanie Soechtig, who made firearms doc Under the Gun, is in the frame to direct, and the team want to push ahead quickly once they get together with a distributor or production company.

Both Lawrence and Sadler have of course been personally affected by some of the issues at the heart of the Time's Up movement, especially the gender pay gap.

Lawrence spoke out after discovering she was paid significantly less on American Hustle than her male co-stars, while Sadler quit as an E! News correspondent because of her pay gap with colleague Jason Kennedy.

Catt Sadler had previously spoken about how inspiring she found Lawrence, saying last month: "Jennifer Lawrence has become a friend of mine — really, a hero of mine.

"Long before my own experiences, her voice has been an empowering one and one I've always admired. To have her in my corner is hard to put into words, to be honest."

Lawrence recently got herself into a bit of an awkward spot at the BAFTAs after Joanna Lumley introduced on stage, and praised her, only for Lawrence to say it was "that was a bit much".

The American star later apologised and even said Lumley could "punch me in the face".
