Just two weeks after Boris Johnson was tricked into discussing sensitive diplomatic matters with two pranksters pretending to be the Armenian Prime Minister, the Foreign Secretary (!) has been caught out again.

This time, he was recorded going off on one at a private dinner about how Brexit was proceeding. The sort of incriminating work information we all share after two hefty glasses of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, right?

In the recording obtained by BuzzFeed, Johnson lambasts Chancellor Philip Hammond, describing the Treasury "the heart of Remain".

He also said Theresa May was “going to go into a phase where we are much more combative with Brussels”. Adding, “You’ve got to face the fact there may now be a meltdown. OK? I don’t want anybody to panic during the meltdown. No panic. Pro bono publico, no bloody panic. It’s going to be all right in the end.”

So Project Fear were perhaps right to be worried, although don't worry guys! Don't bloody panic because we'll all be fine, someday!

He also praised the US President and imagined what a winning job he would do. Yes the man who faked his own medical report and can't remember the words to a national anthem should be in charge.

“Imagine Trump doing Brexit,” Johnson said in the recording. “He’d go in bloody hard … There’d be all sorts of breakdowns, all sorts of chaos. Everyone would think he’d gone mad. But actually you might get somewhere. It’s a very, very good thought.”

Given that Trump has openly admitted to making up facts we can see why Johnson admires his style, being so fast and loose with the truth himself.

A friend of Johnson commented that it was a “private dinner under Chatham House rules" and said it was "very disappointing that it has been covertly recorded and distributed to the media.”

Many have lambasted his open disloyalty to the Prime Minister, calling for his sacking after a series of national embarrassments, including the incident where he inadvertently informed Iranian authorities that jailed British mother Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe had been “teaching journalism” in Tehran.

However there was been speculation, given how his comments do nothing but solidify his already expressed opinions on Trump, the Chancellor and Brexit negotiations, whether he was behind the leak in the first place.
