Keeping track of Apple rumors is a tricky business. The company itself is famously tight-lipped about new releases, often until they're available for order, which means even leaks have to be taken with a grain of salt. Until it exists, it's all speculation. Now that we've got that out of the way, one reliable source says the iPhone's future is looking like a coluorful one.

According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, a 6.1 inch LCD iPhone model is expected to appear this fall in five colors: gray, white, blue, red, and orange, reports 9to5Mac. Similar to the colorful approach that Apple took with the iPhone 5c, it will be a relatively affordable companion to a 6.5 inch OLED model, pricing each model at approximately $700 and $1,000, respectively. The higher end option will come in black, white, and gold. (The gold is expected to be the very same leaked by the FCC earlier this year.)

It has already been a colourful year for Apple—the company released a red iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus earlier this year, as part of their continued partnership with PRODUCT(RED), which provides proceeds toward testing, counselling, and treatment for people living with HIV/AIDs. It's not clear if the rumoured upcoming red model will be a part of this collaboration, but we'll keep this space updated as news begins to surface.
