Another weekend, another gravity-defying feat of acrobatics from Dele Alli whose run of controversial 'dives' have caused viewers to wonder if he is in fact the next Tom Daley and competing in the wrong sport.

Of course, that's not how Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino sees it as he leapt to his defence after Alli's swan dive against Crystal Palace on Sunday.

The midfielder was not awarded a penalty, but Pochettino was still asked about the incident after the game and responded by claiming Alli is "an easy target for everyone".

He added, "We need to stop saying too much about him to stop helping people, the fans, creating this reputation."

"He’s so competitive and played very well but Dele is an easy target. Dele is such a special kid. He’s going to play. He’s going to show his quality. He won’t worry what people are saying about him."

So just to clarify. Dele Alli, f**ks given: 0
