The #NeverAgain movement led by the survivors of the tragic mass shooting in Parkland, Florida is gathering momentum, with support for their March For Our Lives on Washington growing daily.

"On March 24, the kids and families of March For Our Lives will take to the streets of Washington, DC to demand that their lives and safety become a priority," their mission statement reads. "The collective voices of the March For Our Lives movement will be heard."

One company keen to offer their endorsement and financial backing is luxury fashion brand Gucci who have pledged to donate $500,000 to the march

In a statement issued a statement to WWD, Gucci said: “We stand with March for Our Lives and the fearless students across the country who demand that their lives and safety become a priority. We have all been directly or indirectly impacted by these senseless tragedies.”

“I am truly moved by the courage of these students,” Gucci’s creative director Alessandro Michele said. “My love is with them and it will be next to them on March 24. I am standing with March for Our Lives and the strong young women and men across the United States who are fighting for their generation and those to come.”

According to an event permit application, organisers are planning for as many as 500,000 people to attend the march in Washington with sister events planned in other states.
