Warning: Spoiler alert. Obviously.

The emotionally-draining Game of Thrones opener reminded us just how many characters are dotted about the Seven Kingdoms, as well as how much they all want to chop each other’s heads off.

There wasn’t a lot of bloodshed, but you needn't worry: the episode 2 sneak peek promises that there is much to come.

The one-minute clip opens with Daenerys (Emilie Clarke) talking to Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) for the first time in the series, warning of the vengeance she’s set to wreak.

“When I was a child, my brother would tell me a bedtime story about the man who murdered our father, and all the things we would do to that man,” she tells him.

Then there’s her ominous chat with Sansa as they prepare for battle alongside Gendry and Jorah Mormont. “You never should have trusted Cersei,” says Daenerys. “You never should have either,” Sansa shoots back.

Jon Snow also draws attention to the imminent threat of the Night King. “How long do we have?” Snow asks Ser Davos. “Before the sun comes up tomorrow,” he replies.

The second episode of season 8 will air on 22 April at 2am in the UK, but viewers will also be able to catch it at 9pm the same day.
