Landing leading roles in big-budget blockbusters like Aquaman and Dune, it’s fair to say that Jason Momoa has evolved into one of Hollywood’s biggest and most-loved stars. But with a career spanning over 20 years, he’s also made his fair share of small screen appearances and cameo roles on his way to the top.

In 1999, as a fresh-faced 19-year-old, the Hawaiian actor earned his first break in television, appearing in Baywatch Hawaii as Jason Loane. In 2004 came the dreadlocks, goatee and a leading role North Shore, followed soon after by another lead role as Ronon Dex in Stargate Atlantis from 2005-2009.

By 2011 the dreads had gone, replaced by his familiar rugged curls and, in preparation for a lead role in Conan the Barbarian, a huge body transformation, which later saw Momoa land what would become one of his most iconic performances as Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones.

By 2014, Momoa had well and truly cemented himself as a household name. After a stint directing, co-writing and staring in Road to Paloma, he was cast as Aquaman, appearing as the superhero in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and by 2018, he starred in the solo film Aquaman, complete with yet another sensational bulk up.

Yet more opportunities came knocking in 2021, when Momoa appeared as Duncan Idaho in Dune, Aquaman in Justice League, as well as being cast as villain Dante Reyes in the upcoming Fast & Furious film, Fast X. Later this year, he'll appear once again as Aquaman in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, the much-anticipated sequel to the 2018 original.
