Getting bored of lockdown yet? Us too! And so are some of our favourite designers, artists and creatives. So who better, we thought, to steer us on the best ways to keep ourselves entertained in this time of forced isolation? Next up, iconic shoe designer Manolo Blahnik.

What show have you binged on?

The English Game. I also love all the BBC dramas – recreations of old times.

Did Carol Baskin feed her husband to the lions?

I heard about this Tiger King, but I am not interested at all. I cannot believe people are watching animals being treated like that and trapped – I hate it. I haven’t watched, it are you kidding?

What does your workout look like now?

Workout? I don’t work out.

Where are you finding inspiration?

It’s hard to be inspired when people are suffering, but I love spring and the colours it brings.

Who is your lockdown style icon?

Any old movies with fabulous stars like Vivien Leigh.

Do you wear slippers around the house?

No I get dressed in my suits and my shoes. I shave most days, I can’t stand to be dirty and untidy.

Brushes and inks by Dr PH Martins.

Where are you taking your daily walk?

In the garden, I cannot go out at all.

How do you beat procrastination?

Sketching, I have been drawing new men’s styles.

Is your hair OK, or would you rather not talk about it?

I have been cutting it myself. I put a mirror at the back, make a calculation and cut it with scissors. It’s not so fabulous but it’s short, I hate long hair.

What do you miss most from the outside world?

Seeing people in the streets.

What is your snack of choice?

Fruit.

Where in the world would you most like to be locked down?

A Greek island with temples around me, that is a dream.

What do you drink at cocktail hour?

I used to invent things when I was younger. Everything with vodka – not wine, I’m allergic. Not now though, although I would like someone to do it for me.

And what time is cocktail hour?

7pm.

What album is getting you through?

I like Dua Lipa! She’s really recreating something – her voice is great.

And what books have you turned to?

The Leopard [by Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa], my all-time favourite.
