Casablanca sets sail into the sneakerverse next week with its first in-house trainer, the Atlantis. Inspired by its namesake, the Parisian label’s debut sneaker – save its well-received collaboration with New Balance, of course – is wavy by design and nature.

Aiming to epitomise laid-back elegance, Charaf Tajer (Casablanca’s founder and creative director) and Steve Grimes (Casablanca’s art director) took to the brand’s atelier to concoct a footwear offering that carefully balances traditionalist and ultramodernist sensibilities.

As a result, the twosome dreamt up a hype-worthy kick that fortifies a timeless sporty upper – designed using perforated leather and buttery suede overlays – with a sculptural wave EVA midsole and rippled rubber outsole.

To complete the design, Tajer and Grimes adorned the trainer with conspicuous Casablanca branding. Both the red and blue iteration of the Atlantis trainer swank a wordmark-emblazoned insole, a woven tongue label complete with a nautical graphic, a retro 'Casa Sport' window located on the lateral sidewall and a rubber logo patch discoverable on the heel.

Casablanca’s Atlantis trainer launches in its two OG colourways – red and blue – on 16th November on the Casablanca webstore, and on 18th November on Browns, Harrods, End Clothing, Selfridges and LN-CC.
