Tom Ford's SS19 show was a heady mix of beautiful tailoring and even more beautiful models and guests. So just another day at the office for the American designer. This time round however, we wanted everything. Every single bit of it.
So, what is it specifically we'll be hankering after next summer? Lots of neutrals, for one, with Ford swerving his signature glitz for camels and monochromes. The signature sexiness was served up by fabrics instead, and animal printed tux jackets received a dialling down on the colour wheel.
And most importantly, it's what we've come to expect from Ford: sharp eveningwear that's a step away from the usual stuff without overdoing it. After all, if it isn't broke, there is certainly no need to fix it.
Handsome looks weren't just confined to the runway either, with Henry Golding, Michiel Huisman and Tom Hanks all present in looks to rival the SS19 fare. We wouldn't mind adding them to the trolley, either.
