While it's certainly not a total train wreck, making an undoubtedly beautiful and very expensive suit look like a big brother's hand-me-down is a style crime that, like the English football team, hurts us more and more every time we see it.
Beyond the leg, you can see the inside of the blazer's arms have too much loose fabric billowing around, while the sleeves drape over his wrists; leaving no space for any shirt sleeve to show.
On top of that (you made us do this, Tom) it's ill advised to have three buttons undone on your shirt, lest you want to look like a man who catcalls women on train platforms. Also, the two shades of blue clash due to their proximity in shade. White or a pale blue would offer a far more crisp contrast against navy.

The Good

Finding redemption in the craftsmanship and cut of a quite lovely Ermenegildo Zegna three-piece, Tom looks like a new man when compared his earlier appearance.
Notice the perfect break of the trouser; the white shirt sleeve peeking out from the blazer; the lack of clashing colours and subtle pattern on the tie? If you needed any further proof that a good suit is worth the investment, then let this be it.
