The Best Dressed Men at the Cannes Film Festival 2021 (so Far)

The Festival de Cannes 2021 has arrived, and so too have the celebrities. All we can say is: what a relief. For the past year, the red carpet sideshow has largely taken place on Instagram feeds and over glitchy Zoom calls, which must have been stressful. How can actors be expected to focus on style when they’re also scrambling to find the most relatable, Rothko-less room in their mansions? It's a wonder they even managed to get dressed.

But now the A-listers are in their natural habitat, normality has (kind of? Ish?) resumed, and we’ve already had some refreshingly mad fits. Just look at Timothée Chalamet, who smashed it out of le parc in a silver Tom Ford suit, sunglasses and a crisp stand collar shirt for the debut of Wes Anderson’s French Dispatch. Meanwhile, his tuxedoed castmates opted for more classic and understated looks, although special mention has to go to Bill Murray’s Steve Zissou gogs. In these holiday-less times, watching people walk around the French Riviera in very nice suits will just have to do.
