From today thousands of homes across the country are to be paid a visit by the Thunderbirds. In stamp form, that is. In the face of budget cuts and dwindling public interest, The Royal Mail has come up with a range of FAB stamps to help celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Gerry Anderson’s creations.

Designed for both the 1st class and 97p values, the stamps take focus on Anderson’s best-loved characters. If that’s not exciting enough, how about the UK’s first ever motion stamps? Tilt the image back and forth and the stamp animates the iconic opening Thunderbirds sequence. Now that’s what we call twenty first century stamping.
