If Ralph Lauren's summer Polo CP-93 capsule release made strides towards streetwear, consider his latest move a full blown statement: the US outfit is set to collaborate with British skate brand Palace.

Just this weekend, three billboards in central Tokyo featured the iconic polo player above Palace's logo, leading many to suspect an imminent crossover. And now, in an exclusive with Business Of Fashion, it has been fully confirmed that a collection is on the way.

"It’s the only brand that you can wear to a board meeting, a funeral and go to the football in — and all in the same day" said Palace founder Lev Tanju of the collab. Prices are expected to sit within Palace's usual range of around £60 for T-shirts, and jackets of £180.

What's more, it's a clear sign of Ralph Lauren extending its appeal beyond classic dressers, with more recent archival releases targeting a younger, more vibrant dresser with nineties-inspired designs.

Though an official release date has yet to be confirmed, it's thought that the collection will be available "imminently" - which means you can expect a lengthy waiting time to purchase online.
