The future is officially here. Because after three long decades of waiting, Marty McFly's Nike MAGs—complete with working power laces!—are finally available to the public. This comes just about a year after Nike introduced the first pair of functional Mags, which were hand-delivered to the man who made them famous, Michael J. Fox.

Nike's been working with the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research since 2011, and produced a run of non-adaptive Mags that year that raised nearly $10 million, all of which went to fund research to fight the disease.

Now, the brand is releasing a limited run of just 89 pairs—again, with working power laces—which are available through an online drawing starting today.

Here's how it works: You go to nike.com/mag, and you enter by purchasing a ticket for $10 (the money goes right to the MJF Foundation). You can buy as many tickets as you want, which ups your chance of winning. (Though, consider the fact that the number of entries will likely be astronomical.) There are also live auctions on 11 October in Hong Kong, 14 October and 17 in London, and 12 November in New York.

For the bulk of us, though, this is about the online drawing. That ends on 11 October, and winners are announced 17 October. Which means that there's going to be a lot of nail-biting happening the night before, a lot of broken hearts the day of, and just under 90 people who will have their Back to the Future dreams come true.

Cross your fingers.
