We are here to report some very grave and pressing news this Christmas eve, eve: Great Britain and its people would rather eat sprouts over a big delicious turkey when it comes to Christmas dinner.
The horror of it all.
According to YouGov who, it would appear, spent far too much time thinking about this, 62% of us like sprouts on the table, while a meagre 52% would opt for the king of Christmas birds.
According to this Very Important Study, 10% of people would opt for beef, 8% for chicken, 6% for goose, 3% for gammon or ham and 3% for pork. While a further 8% opt for a vegetarian alternative.
A semblance of order is restored in knowing that 85% would have roast potatoes as part of the arrangement. While Peep Show fans will be pleased to hear that only 34% of people would class cauliflower as a traditional Christmas vegetable.
