Part teppanyaki-come-sushi house, part Spanish eaterie, Aqua London is perched in an enviable spot above London's Oxford Circus, surrounded by spacious terraces.
In spite of the increasingly Baltic temperatures, Aqua has come up with a clever way to put said terraces to good use during the winter months, and it's been titled "Liquid Cashmere".
The title, much like Aqua's penchant for mid-90s lounge music, needs work, but the concept itself is intriguing. Guests brave enough to spend more than five minutes on the deck - we, being the robust paradigms of masculinity that we are, lasted a good 25 - are greeted with a sumptuous grey cashmere blanket, and a series of warming cocktails. One of which, the Aqua Nectar, was so good we want one every day until May.
To make your own Aqua Nectar you will need -
1 tablespoon of honey
50ml Zacapa rum
100lm Hot water
25ml Liquor 43
1 bar spoon Lemon Curd
1 bar spoon butter
A pinch of all spice
1 star anice
Method - Dissolve the honey into 50ml of hot water. Add all the other ingredients and slowly add the rest of the water, while constantly stirring. Strain into a balloon glass. Garnish with Cinnamon stick, orange zest, chocolate on the side.
