There are three main occurrences that can ruin the joy of eating out. The first – and most obvious – is bad food. The second: shoddy service. The third? Your setting. What we like to call the ambience.

Find yourself starring at a bathroom door – or a kitchen assistant sweating over a frying pan – and even the most delicious mouthful can turn sour in your mouth.

On the flip site, a glorious view can elevate a good meal to special one. From Michelin-starred French cuisines to hearty Neplaese cuisines, we've rounded up six of the restaurants that offer both great food and breathtaking views.
