I would describe my personal style as simple and fun.

I have been buying and collecting vintage clothing since I was 15 so I have always been looking for one off pieces. That hasn't changed much over the years but I guess I'm going to better vintage shops and markets now than I was growing up as a kid in Dublin.

My daily go-to outfit is a pair of vintage 501s, a sweatshirt and Clarks desert boots.

The five things every man should have in his wardrobe are: A pair of 501s, a classic white shirt, a good raincoat, a suit, and a skeleton. Everyone should have a skeleton in their closet.

A man should never wear Jeggings. Or a man bun.

I've never worn anything I wish I hadn't, but there are lots of things I've not worn that I wish I had.

My style hero depends on what I'm working on at the time. For the latest collection I was really inspired by Kim Fowley (below), an LA record producer in the 60s. He had great style and I think the way he dressed feels very contemporary. There's a great image of him wearing a Zorro hat with a suede fringe jacket, sweatshirt, skinny jeans and sneakers.

The worst style mistake I see men making is boot cut jeans with leather loafers, especially when the jeans are frayed at the back.

I try to stay well clear of trends from a personal perspective and within my role at LVC. I'm more inclined to take inspiration from a book I read or a record I listened to than what's happening in fashion. This season I named the collection after one of my favorite albums from 1967 called Forever Changes by an LA band called Love. These guys also had great style.

Other than dressing well, a man should be able to make a good mix tape.

Going into spring I'm looking forward to wearing pieces from the new collection. We've made a 501 (below) that mirrors every detail of the one made in 1967 down to the writing on the buttons and rivets. It's such a special piece.

My grooming regime? I take a shower and brush my teeth. And no fragrance. Well, maybe my wife's roll-on Dove if she's not looking.

My one rule for living a stylish life: There are no rules.
