The Best-Dressed Men at the Oscars 2024

It makes for a crazy stat: last night, Martin Scorsese’s violent epic of American avarice, Killers of the Flower Moon, became his third film to go 0-for-10 at the Academy Awards. Ten nominations, zero statuettes. They made him get all dressed up, and for what? Just so that he could outclass everyone else on the red carpet with an elegant, made-to-measure tux? Light work. Been there, done that. At least you’re taking pride of place at the top of our list, Marty.

That’s not to say that it wasn’t a big night for even bigger fits. We’re talking flared trousers, and lots of them; bolo ties, tinted sunglasses and, the red carpet accessory du jour, shiny brooches. This is also not a ranking so much as a broad appreciation of the strongest menswear moments at the Oscars 2024 (but Martin Scorsese wins, just to be absolutely clear. Just look at his face!).
