Looking around the well-groomed desks of Esquire HQ, the facial hair quota is far lower than this writer would like - three iron filing coated faces does not a beardy party make.
Though some are suggesting that the facial fuzz epoch is coming to an end, we'd be quick to disagree. The sense of gravitas and virility exuded by a full, manly beard (don't think for a second that a goatee makes the cut, Colin Farrell) can be achieved with no other bodily adaptation.
The latest online celebration of the beard to come our way is Facial Awareness, a brand new blog from New York-based art director Andrew Wren. Basically a visual homage to the best beards from around the globe. Look out for the fourteenth image down - it's a keeper.
