Warning: Spoilers for Game of Thrones' season seven finale lie ahead – and they're bigger than Dany's dragons.

We've barely had a chance to catch our breath after Game of Thrones finally concluded season seven with the incredible 'The Dragon and the Wolf', let alone think about next season.

But, luckily for us, that's not the case for Brienne of Tarth herself, Gwendoline Christie, who's been hinting at what fans can expect when the show's final season arrives.

Discussing the shock moment of the episode – and no, we're not talking about Jon and Daenerys – Gwendoline confessed that Brienne may not be too happy about how things went down.

Yes, we're on about the wonderful moment Sansa and Arya Stark conspired against Littlefinger and slit his throat. Sure, it was violent, but it was retribution at its finest.

Brienne, however, is probably going to think otherwise – well, she is all about honor, we guess.

"[Brienne] doesn't believe in dispatching a life unless it's absolutely necessary. Unless it's official," the actress told The New York Times.

"Look at the way she beheaded Stannis. She essentially read him his rights. Although it was loaded with emotion for her, she presented it in a very official, formal way, with great nobility.

"So I don't know how Brienne will react to people taking matters into their own hands at Winterfell," she added.

Discussing Brienne's "complex" position, Gwendoline went on: "Brienne is about a code of honor, a code of conduct, and she never kills anyone just for the sake of it.

"It's complex, though, because Brienne's made her oath to Catelyn Stark to protect the Stark girls."

Hinting at how Brienne and the Starks' relationship might change in season eight, Christie promised that things will get even "more interesting".

"I know it's not what she wanted, to leave Sansa's side, but being at King's Landing as Sansa's representative sort of upped her game," she said.

"It's going beyond the remit of what she thought her job description was."

Maybe she'll find solace in Jaime Lannister, eh? (Sorry, Tormund.)
