Though Milan may've temporarily closed, you can still access parts of the fashion industry. In some very good fashion films, yes. But also in the output of the fashion brands themselves, as Bottega Veneta has just announced its new at-home multi-platform service that intends to bring the weekend back to you.

Each week, the 'Bottega Residency' project will see trusted collaborators and top-tier talent take over the outfit's social channels. That means cooking and recipes from ascendant chefs. It also means live music. And there's even to be a Sunday movie night watchalong personally curated by the kind folk at Bottega Veneta.

The Residency aims to mirror an average weekend to provide a sense of normalcy in times that are increasingly abnormal. It also follows a quick-moving trend for style and culture at large, as organisations (fashion or otherwise), have gone to great pains to provide entertainment via social channels. Google Arts & Culture, for instance, has collated a list of over 500 museums and art galleries to visit from the comfort of your home, while the London Symphony Orchestra is streaming full-length concerts twice a week.

Bottega Veneta is going to do a bit of all of this over the coming weeks, with the brand's very own creative director Daniel Lee set to kick off proceedings. Speaking of the Residency project, the 34-year-old said "creativity and strength lie at the heart of Bottega Veneta. In this highly distressing time, we feel a responsibility to celebrate those values and ignite a sense of joy and hope in our community and beyond."
