How to be a frommelier

Spitalfields brasserie, Le Bouchon Breton, claims to have one of the best-stocked cheese carts anywhere in Europe no less, featuring over 40 varieties of Gallic fromage. A good place then to try your hand at being a frommelier yourself. 

From March to August, the restaurant's own frommelier Jean Claude Ali Cherif is hosting cheese master classes to teach interested parties about the different regional varieties on offer, who makes them and how - and most importantly, how to get the best out of them at home. Le Bouchon Breton, 8 Horner Square, Spitalfields Market - classes run from 6pm to 7pm on every last Tuesday in the month from March through to August at £50 per person; call 0800 019 1704 to book.
