It must be summer. Grey clouds are creeping their way across the country, but our one weekend of tantalising heat (remember? It was a few weeks ago) still has us blindly clamouring for our shorts, short-sleeved shirts (yes, really) and, of course, our sunglasses.
This year, it seems, is the year of the vintage frame. A host of sunglass manufacturers have launched backward-looking capsule collections with a view to attract style-savvy punters, and one of the best comes in the form of Oliver Peoples’ recently announced Original Vintage Circa 1987 Collection.
Of the nine frames on offer, the 60s inspired MP-2 and O’Malley specs are our undisputed favourites. Available in a range of rare colours, including sky blue, spearmint green and rose brown, The Original Vintage Circa 1987 Collection is to be sold exclusively in Adam Simmonds of Primrose Hill, with prices starting at £295.
