4 Easy Spring Trends

Most Popular

Grab your backpack, knot a patterned necktie, slip on a boat neck and prepare
to mock those still “rocking” the Breton top. Spring is here. (Well, near enough).

1 Bright backpacks
The man bag has undergone a quiet transformation this season, with shoulder bags and saddle styles replaced by the classic backpack. Though it’s tempting to go dark, fight the urge and opt for a pop of colour.

2 Pattern pop
Much like Christmas jumpers, this season’s pattern trend would look as much at home on Are You Being Served? as it did on the catwalks. Opt for paisley, Hawaiian  print or check, and keep it to accessories such as this vibrant tie or pocket square.

3 Neckties
There are times when a tie is just too formal, while an open-neck shirt just looks scruffy. The solution? A necktie. Layer to beef up the look. Don’t use a summer scarf in place of a necktie, they are too thick and you will look like Nicholas Parsons.

4 Sports
jackets
Superlight windbreakers in technical fabrics offer a wearable, understated way to keep out the elements. Be sure to opt for a hooded style (hoods are a surprise spring/summer trend) in a neutral shade.
