The fastest electric bike in the world

Imagine an electric motorbike that can hit 150mph, maintain constant torque and look incredibly cool, all at the same time. The Mission One is it. It gets better too. As well as its general prettiness (thanks to designer Yves Behar), it can be fully recharged using a 220V plug in just two and a half hours, which will cost you approximately £2. The onboard dynamo collects kinetic energy from every time you break, letting you go further with every charge - the average maximum distance being 150 miles.

Besides being the fastest production electric motorcycle in the world, the Mission One is also the first motorbike to have inbuilt wireless, allowing the rider to check the bike’s status electronically and download information about their journey. Not bad for something with no clutch, no gears and no exhaust. The limited edition first run will cost around $68,995 but a cheaper version is due to be announced this summer.
