If you've never come across him before, Mr Asahi is the robotic barman, created by some brainboxes in Japan, who can flash you a smile, listen to your problems and serve you an ice-cold beer in a mere two minutes (and no, waving a tenner won't make him go any faster).
But the big surprise is his voice - somewhere between a heckler at the Oxford Union and Raef from The Apprentice: Series Four. Perhaps there's still some fine-tuning to be done? He's over in the UK right now and is currently soothing the worries of the clientele of ASDA in Durham, who no doubt can't believe their luck. For an audience with Mr Asahi, see www.asahi.co.uk
