The, err, holy trinity?

Capitalising on the fact that people are really, really into spending more than a month's rent on trainers right now, Pharrell Williams, Chanel and Adidas have forged a surprise alliance to release the world's most exclusive sneakers, with a £1,000 price tag to match.

As with all things desirable in 2017, you can't just buy the Chanel x Pharrell Williams x adidas Originals NMD Hu, but you can sign up to a raffle on Parisian department store Colette's website for an opportunity to win one of only 500 pairs released on 23 November (you still have to pay £1,000... sorry).

Aside from the fairly prominent Chanel branding on the top of the right shoe, the collaboration looks pretty similar to most of adidas and Pharrell's previous trainers, which typically sell for around £200. But we suppose it's not often that a brand like Chanel goes down the whole Athleisure root.

Here are some pictures of Pharrell himself wearing the shoes during a launch party at Colette last night (our invite must have been sent to the junk folder or something).

They’re ok!

If you're looking for a similar sneaker that doesn't come with a less-than-zero chance of being bought and four figure price tag, then adidas' regular NMD range is still a pretty sharp option.

You can always do a bit of handiwork with the logo. It's very IN right now after all.
